L02: Treatment

LO2: Treatment

TREATMENT

The identity of Sheffield

THE BRIEF

I have been asked to take and edit series of images that explore and show the identity of Sheffield.

CONCEPT IDEA

For my Idea for my shoot, is a street photography shoot, with my sub-genre being 1960's Psychedelia. For my Idea I will take standard street photographs, of graffiti etc, and to make them connote my theme denoted, I will be editing them in Photoshop, and manipulating the colour. One of my ideas, is to also duplicate the layers, and change the opacity, to give my images a double-vision effect, to help connote my theme, which is of course psychedelia.

TARGET AUDIENCE

My target audience would be a variety, as any group, regardless of class, age can enjoy art, and street photography can therefore apply to many audiences.  I think for the NRS social grade, the grades, A,B and C1, would mostly be interested in my theme as stereotypically the more higher classes show an interest in art.

KEY MILESTONES
I aim to finish planning all of the photographs that I am going to take by the end of January.  This is so I have enough time to actually take the photographs, and to know what I am going to take photographs of.

I aim to take my photographs, by the end of of April, as this will give me time to of course, analyse the images and also give me time to decide which images to edit, and give me time to edit he images.

I aim to Edit my images by the end May, as I will of course need to organise my photographs, ready for the launch of my shoot.

The launch date for my shoot, will be the 15th  may

EQUIPMENT

Camera- A camera is the only equipment that, I will be using, as for a street shoot, I do not really require to much equipment. The camera I will be using, will be a canon EOS 650D, as this offers high quality to of course complete my shoot.
Tripod- I could also use a tripod to stabilise my shoot, but i am still not sure.

PROPS AND MODELS

I will not be needing any props or models, as I am doing a street photography shoot.

HEALTH AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS.
I have a risk assessment on my blog displaying any potential risks, but apart from that the only things I need to consider, is if the location is safe enough to do my shoot

LEGAL AND ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS.

Copyright is the legal protection of someones work (https://www.techterms.com/definition/copyright).
I will not need any copyright, as I am doing a street photography shoot in a public place.

The model release, is the permission from the owner of the location/ or the model, who signs it to give you permission to post the photographs, I did my shoot in a public place, so this does not apply to my shoot. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_release).

Misrepresentation is a when you misunderstand something.(https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/misinterpretation).
It is important that I don’t misrepresent anything in my theme as I do not want anything in my images, perceived wrongly

CONTINGENCIES

If the weather is an issue, I will do the shoot on another
day, and if there is to much traffic for me to get, to where I need to be, I will have to do the shoot in another location, opposed to my first preferred location

MOODBOARD
This is the mood-board for my psychedelic theme.
